Which licenses is this bundle built for?
This bundle teaches core 2020 NEC skills for electrical licensing exams, including NC Limited, Intermediate, and Unlimited. For other jurisdictions, match the curriculum and Code edition to your current exam bulletin. Virginia licensing rules and South Carolina Business Management & Law require separate study. See JCR’s state requirements page for your exam guide.
Will this help for Virginia?
Yes, for the NEC/code portion of the Virginia Journeyman or Master Electrician exam. Virginia also tests state tradesman rules. Dedicated Virginia rules instruction is not included in this NEC package, so review the current candidate bulletin and JCR's Virginia electrical license guide.
Will this help for South Carolina?
Yes, for the NEC/code portion of the South Carolina commercial electrical exam. South Carolina commercial exams include separate SC business/law questions, which are not covered by this NEC study package, so review JCR's South Carolina electrical license guide before ordering.
What about Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, Mississippi, Montana, Memphis, New Mexico, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington?
JCR serves students in each of those markets, and the bundle can be useful for NEC-based exam prep. Because some jurisdictions use different code editions or add local rules, confirm your exam edition, candidate bulletin, and allowed references on JCR's state requirements page before ordering.
Is this the same as taking a live JCR exam prep workshop?
It uses the same core JCR curriculum materials, including the manual, video lessons, practice questions, mock exam access, and code book tabs. The live workshops add classroom instruction and direct instructor support.
How long should I study?
Most successful students study for 4-8 weeks. Start with the manual and video lessons, then use the 500+ question mock exam and digital practice tools to find weak spots and build speed before exam day.
What code book do I need?
This bundle is built around the 2020 NEC. Your exam follows the code edition named in the current candidate bulletin, so confirm that edition and any rules for allowed references, tabs, or highlighting before you study and again before test day.
