Connecticut E-1 and E-2 electrical exam prep self-study
Build the trade-exam skills Connecticut E-2 Journeyperson and E-1 Contractor candidates need.
Learn NEC navigation, calculations, theory, and timed problem solving with a clear 2020 NEC study system.
This self-study system turns the same core NEC curriculum used in JCR’s instructor-led classes into a structured plan you can complete from anywhere. JCR has trained 20,000+ electricians since 1985. Our classroom NEC exam-prep students have a 93% pass rate.

Organize heavily tested NEC articles, tables, and sections so you can find them faster while studying. Apply the tabs only as permitted by the current testing-vendor rules.
The course teaches the NEC, calculations, theory, and timing shared by Connecticut’s E-1 and E-2 trade outlines. E-1 Business and Law requires separate study.
The exam Code book and other official references are sold separately.
This course uses the 2020 NEC. The current PSI bulletin lists the 2020 and 2023 NEC for the trade exams; confirm which edition you will bring and obtain every additional listed reference.

What is the difference between E-2 and E-1? E-2 is the unlimited journeyperson credential; E-1 is the unlimited contractor credential.
Does the package include E-1 Business and Law? No. Prepare that separate 50-question exam with its own outline and references.
Can I use the 2020 NEC? Yes. The current PSI bulletin lists both 2020 and 2023; JCR’s course uses 2020.
Do I apply to DCP before PSI? Yes. DCP approves eligibility before you schedule the trade exam.
