Common questions

What is the difference between EE-98J and EE-98?

EE-98J qualifies an individual to perform electrical work for a licensed contractor. EE-98 qualifies the responsible person for the contractor classification; the company still completes a separate business-license package.

Does JCR cover the EE-98J practical?

No. JCR supports the written NEC and theory work. The hands-on practical requires separate preparation.

Does JCR cover EE-98 Part 3 or Business and Law?

No. The JCR course focuses on EE-98 Parts 1 and 2. Prepare Part 3 and Business and Law separately.

Which PSI bulletins should I use?

Use the current contractor bulletin for EE-98 and the current journeyman bulletin for EE-98J. The exam parts, reference lists, and scheduling rules differ.
