Exam facts, books, and official sources

Washington’s adopted installation code and its licensing-exam edition may differ. The current PSI bulletin lists the 2020 NEC for these exams; confirm it before scheduling and prepare the official Washington code references separately.

How to use the course
  1. Set up the manual, videos, and exact Code/reference books approved for your exam.
  2. Follow the six-week roadmap and work each subject with the books open.
  3. Use timed questions to expose weak topics and improve lookup speed.
  4. Rework missed questions and take full-length mock exams before scheduling.

Most successful students study consistently for about 4–8 weeks. Your schedule may vary with experience and available study time.

Shipping, access, and returns

Online access and printed materials are delivered separately. Physical orders are normally processed in 1–3 business days; standard shipping is estimated at 5–10 business days and calculated at checkout.

Common questions before you order

Does JCR cover the Washington-law section? JCR teaches the NEC/theory and calculation work. Prepare RCW 19.28 and WAC 296-46B separately for the Washington-code section.

Which exam edition should I use? The current PSI bulletin lists the 2020 NEC for licensing exams even though Washington’s adopted installation code may be newer. Recheck the bulletin before scheduling.

What is different for Administrator and Master? Both add a load-calculation section; Master also has a larger NEC/theory and Washington-code question load.

How long should I study? Most successful students plan on roughly 4–8 weeks for the NEC/theory work and add focused Washington-law study.
