The State of New Mexico Construction Industries Division (CID) requires 16 hours of Continuing Education every three years, with at least 8 hours on Code Change (CC); remaining hours may be on Industry Related (IR).
JCR classes are approved as CC with New Mexico as follows:
- 8 hour: Continuing Education- Full Day (in person or virtual)
- 9 hour: Detailed NEC Workshop Day 1
- 9 hour: Detailed NEC Workshop Day 2
- 8 hour: Online Course
Proof of completion of the continuing education requirements shall be submitted to the Division with the application for renewal of journeyman lineman and/or journeyman electrician certificates of competence. If an application for the renewal is not accompanied by proof of CE completion, the renewal will not be processed.
