Steps to a New Hampshire license
  1. Qualify. Journeyman: 8,000 apprentice hours plus 600 hours of electrical school. Master: pass the journeyman exam, then work 2,000 hours as a licensed journeyman.
  2. Apply to OPLC first. Send the electrician application, proof of hours and school, and fees.
  3. Get cleared, then book with Prov. OPLC sends your approval to Prov. Check that it is for the 2020 NEC version. Pay Prov’s $90 fee.
  4. Pass. Prov sends results to the state, and OPLC issues the license.
