How many CE hours does Florida electrical license renewal need?
Here's what each 2-year cycle needs, per the Board's FAQ:
| License | Hours | What the hours must include |
|---|---|---|
| Electrical contractor | 11 hours | 1 hour each of workers' compensation, workplace safety, business practices, Florida laws and rules, and a Building Code advanced module. Plus 6 technical hours. Add 2 hours of false alarm prevention if you do alarm work. |
| Alarm system contractor | 7 hours | 1 hour each of workers' compensation, workplace safety, business practices, Florida laws and rules, and a Building Code advanced module. Plus 2 hours of false alarm prevention. |
