What You'll Learn

Foundation & Navigation

NEC structure, code navigation methods, Ohm’s Law, core electrical formulas, branch-circuit and feeder load calculations, standard vs. optional dwelling calculations, and service load calculations.

Application & Systems

Ampacity tables, conductor sizing, box fill, conduit and cable-tray fill, wire-bending space, motors and motor circuits, grounding and bonding, services, overcurrent protection, and special occupancies.

How to Prepare for This Workshop

Joining close to the start date? You can still register. Materials ship the same business day you order, and each session builds on the one before it.

6–8 Weeks Before Your Exam:

Order your exam prep package and begin self-study. Work through the NEC workbook about an hour a day. Watch online videos at your own pace.

During the Live Class:

Attend four live Zoom sessions. Learn to navigate the NEC, solve calculations, and spot exam traps while you work the workbook and practice questions with your instructor.

During Self-Study:

Take practice exams. Identify your weak areas. Reach out to JCR at info@jcrproductions.com if you get stuck for instructor support.

1–8 Weeks After Workshop: Schedule and take your exam with PSI.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need for the Zoom sessions?

A computer or tablet with a reliable internet connection, a quiet space, and your 2020 NEC (plus the 2013 NFPA 72 if you're testing in NC). We email the Zoom link 48 hours before the first session.

What if I can't attend all four sessions?

All four sessions are required. You must attend the full 16 hours to receive exam prep certification.

Will this prepare me for exams in other states?

Yes! Our workshop covers the NEC, which is tested in 30+ states.

What is your cancelation policy?
