Why a Live Exam Prep Workshop?
Industry-Focused Interactive classes. Real-time answers. When something isn't clicking, the instructor explains it right away. The material follows the exam's structure. Topics are covered in order of weight: sections with the most questions get the most time. By the end of day two, you've worked through the full scope in sequence.
You'll take mock exams with the same format as the real thing. By test day, the process is familiar. You've already done it. Electrical Training Workshop.

PRACTICE-EXAMSFrequently Asked Questions
In-person workshops are held in Raleigh, Mooresville (Charlotte area), and Asheville, North Carolina. We also hold sessions in other states and offer live virtual workshops you can attend from anywhere. Live virtual sessions count as instructor-led credit in states that distinguish between delivery formats.
Your NEC code book (the edition your state uses — most are on the 2020 NEC), a non-programmable calculator, pencils, and highlighters. If you haven’t tabbed your code book yet, don’t worry — Victor covers code book navigation on the first day. We provide the workbooks, mock exams, and all other materials. For live virtual sessions, you’ll need a computer with a webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection.
One to four weeks is the sweet spot. We recommend studying for at least six weeks in total. That gives you enough time to review the material and retake the mock exams on your own, but it’s close enough that the information stays fresh. If you attend more than two months before your exam, plan on doing a focused review in the final week.
The curriculum is designed as a 16-hour sequence across two days. If something comes up, contact us and we’ll arrange for you to attend the missed day at a future workshop at no additional charge, subject to availability. Both days are required to complete the full course.
The core NEC content applies to Limited, Intermediate, and Unlimited exams. We also offer workshops tailored to Low Voltage, Single Family Dwelling, and other specialty classifications. Check the individual workshop listing for which license types are covered in that session.
Yes. Our live virtual workshops use the same curriculum, same instructor, and same materials as in-person sessions. You attend in real time and can ask questions just like you would in the classroom. Virtual attendance counts as instructor-led credit in states that accept it.
