VFD & PLC Fundamentals

Variable Frequency Drives

Hands-on menu navigation so you're not dependent on a manual during a late-night service call. We'll cover drive setup, accel/decel ramps, I/O wiring, and fault codes — what they're actually telling you and how to troubleshoot without masking the real problem.

Programmable Logic Controllers

PLCs aren't about programming — they're about logic you already know. If a contact is closed AND another is closed, the coil energizes. That's Boolean logic, and you've been doing it your whole career. We'll focus on how to read a PLC program in the field to find the rung controlling the output you're chasing. Then we'll tie it together — PLC, VFD, and HMI working as one system — because that's what you're actually working on out there.
