New Mexico

The State of New Mexico Construction Industries Division (CID) requires 16 hours of Continuing Education every three years, with at least 8 hours on Code Change (CC); remaining hours may be on Industry Related (IR).

JCR classes are approved and listed with New Mexico as follows:

• Power Quality and 2020 NEC Changes: 8 hours CC
• Detailed 2020 NEC® Workshop Day 1: 9 hours CC
• Detailed 2020 NEC® Workshop Day 2: 9 hours CC
• Review and Renew the NEC® (Online Course): 8 hours CC

Proof of completion of the continuing education requirements shall be submitted to the Division with the application for renewal of journeyman lineman and/or journeyman electrician certificates of competence.  If an application for the renewal is not accompanied by proof of CE completion, the renewal will not be processed.
