This course provides 10 hours of CE in North Carolina with Additional States CEU Reporting Options available (ex: worth 10 CEUs in Ohio when additional state reporting is purchased).
This is the first day of our comprehensive Detailed NEC Training Workshop. This workshop covers multiple important concepts that are essential to electrical professionals wanting to become more familiar with the NEC and how to navigate it efficiently and thoroughly. Focusing on navigation, organization, and electrical calculations our instructor, Victor Ring, combines his professional experience and real world examples while bringing a renewed enthusiasm for the electrical code. This course focuses on primarily on the 2017 NEC®. (North Carolina does not plan to adopt 2020 code until mid 2021; however, we will transition this class as appropriate.)

NEC Navigation & Organization: Article 90 Code Arrangement, the Paralleled Numbering System and other location systems and practices.
Article 220-Electrical Calculations: OHM’s Law & theory; Standard & Optional Calculation Methods & Examples; Service, Feeder & Branch Circuit calculations; Derations and sizing requirements for the grounded and ungrounded conductors. This calculations portion of the workshop introduces a number of signature JCR concepts for learning including the Range Block, simplified standard and optional dwelling calculation process, and more.
*This course is worth 10 classroom CEUs for North Carolina with an additional optional 8 non-classroom complimentary online course (NC licensees are able to bank up to 24 CEUs).
