Q: What are the requirements to take your course?..Do I have to be an electrician to take it or is this for the layman as well?
A: While there are no formal requirements necessary to attend a JCR seminar, it is advised that the student have a good basic knowledge of electrical equipment, terminology, and construction practices. Our courses do not teach persons "how to become an electrician" but they do provide a vast amount of code information and industry knowledge to those who are involved in the electrical industry. |
Q: Does JCR Productions, Inc. offer any educational seminars for other trades?
A: No. We dedicate our entire effort to the Electrical Industry. We do however have several names of other companies that provide quality educational sources for the other construction trades. We cannot guarantee the results of the other services. We offer all recomendations based on historical input from their students. |

Q: Do you offer seminars or study related materials for the low voltage exam?
A: We do offer materials for the SP-LV examination which many have used to score 100% on that exam. We do not however offer seminars on that subject matter. |
Q: Do you offer home study courses?
A: Our home study courses are in the form of video or our new self test programs. The videos will be available soon, and the self test programs are available now. |
Q: Are your materials based on the current NEC?
A: All of our materials are based on the current NEC except for the 2002 Calculations Video and 2002 Workbook which is still used in other states or jurisdictions. |
Q: Can contractors use this web site to have code questions answered?
A: Answers to general code questions are available through this page. However, for detailed questions, which require great detail, correspondence, or research, the contractor will be required to call our office. Due to the time that is put into this type of code consulting, a nominal fee may be required for this service. |

Q: I took the continuing education review program today and I am wondering how long it takes to get the results. Also when will the Board be notified? Thanks!
A: We process every order on the day it is received. The board is notified on the same day, and your results are mailed to you via first class mail on the same day as well. As you can tell, we offer same day service. |
Q: What JCR Productions, Inc. programs are approved for Continuing Education?
A: Every program that is produced by our company is intended as an educational production, and each is approved for continuing education in the state of North Carolina. We are also approved in most other states throughout the country that require CEU's for their electrical contractors. |

Q: What is the passing rate for your students that use your Examination Preparation materials?
A: Our first time students achieve a 93% success rate, with an average passing score of 91%. We have had several students score a perfect 100% after using our services and materials. This information has been researched through reports and letters from our students as well as the database of qualified individuals provided by the NC State Electrical Board.
Having written the actual examination in the past, we fully understand the examination, it's content and subject matters, and it's presentation. This allows us to provide each of our students with only the best and most relative and specific materials. Just ask around. Our students are pleased with their successes! |
